You are invited to join the CRES Amateur Radio Club, one of the oldest active amateur radio clubs in the Columbus metropolitan area. Our club was founded in 1962 by and for the ham employees of the Western Electric manufacturing facility on East Broad
St. The club is now open to all interested amateur radio operators. We maintain the W8ZPF repeater. Meetings are held bi-monthly and typically consist of a short business portion followed by a ham-related presentation. We are an ARRL-affiliated club and take part in the League-sponsored Field Day exercise every June. We also have an active Volunteer Exam team that conducts licensing exams three times per year.
